A perpetual calendar seems like an antiquated idea in modern times — and yet, there is something undeniably appealing about having a low-tech way to track the days for ever and ever (i.e. post-Zombie apocalypse). And it certainly doesn't hurt that there are so many brilliantly designed options out there to buy or make yourself.

After checking out all of them, the first one is still my fav.
The very last one reminds me of grade-school flash cards. Those would be pretty simple to DIY.
Like 1, 9, 10, and 11. Not crazy about any of them, but could be inspired to create something similar.
Haha. I was just about to come post a link to my perpetual calendar, and its been posted.
Just to add, i don't have a picture handy, but the way it was finished was: I punched holes in at the top of each card, glued a painted wood board into a picture frame, attached some cup hooks. I'll try to post a picture later.
most awesome, jose a/mnerd!
I use stickies to create a new calendar each month! I change up the colors to make a bit different each month. I got this idea from design mom.
I have a vintage sculptural '70s black plastic calendar by Euroway that has cup bottom-shaped nubs with days, months and numbers printed on them in white, around which you place a ring to highlight the date. Sadly, in our technology-based age, I often forget to change the date on it, because I often don't need to. I tend to see more as '70s wall art.
I love these thank you. How come every time I think about something it ends up promptly on Apt Therapy? I've been looking for these. You must be reading my mind and I appreciate it. I'm going to start on one of those photo ones pronto.
I see these everywhere and I don't get it. What do you do when you are at the middle of December and would really like to write down what you need to do in January?
These are great! I see them more as art than a calendar to write comments down on. I'd like to make one actually.
