Are you doing any entertaining this holiday season? Whether it's a casual shindig or a ritzy affair, adding personal touches is an easy (and often less expensive way) to make things more festive.
We came upon this terrific idea via the Happy Home blog. Yes, those dishes were hand-drawn. Free hand! You'll need an oven-proof serving piece (check out thrift stores in addition to your own cupboards), and some paint meant for painting porcelain. Then practice a pattern that you like or use a stencil if you don't trust your free hand skills. And that's it! The results are beautiful and no one would suspect what an easy project this really is.
