We know Halloween isn't quite here yet, but it has officially been set in retail stores across the country. And although we despise seasons being merchandised 30+ days early, we still have a ridiculous soft spot for animals in costumes. And as any good pet parent would know (is it too far to take your dog trick-or-treating?), all the "good" doggy costumes go quick in stores. So here's a roundup of things that made us go, "Awwwww." Click through for more costumes and pricing (which start as low as a buck and a half)!

2. Bat Wings - $19 from Trixie and Peanut
3. Bunny Suit - $29 from Trixie and Peanut

That cheerleader costume is the creepiest thing, ever.
I wonder if my dogs would forgive me for putting a wig and angel wings on them. I wonder if I could forgive myself, haha
Humm
Making your animals look ridiculous? Maybe for a photo, but even.... It is what some people do to their kids, so then again....
The only thing that makes me go "Awwww" is how I feel for those poor animals dressed up like Barbie dolls.
Bepsf - some animals actually like it. My boss has a pair of Boston Terriers who just LOVE wearing clothes, because they get so much attention when they do - everything from doggie t-shirts to Koda's Bumblebee suit. Some animals hate it, and if yours is one of them, leave them be.
My dog will wear a bandana, but that's about it. So I got her a Halloween one and a Christmas one.
Trying to put anything on the cat will result in death. But my friend's cat (Edgar) likes wearing shirts. If you put the Princess costume on him he would be very happy about it.
I think all pet owners who dress up the animals in stupid costumes like these should be made to wear the same outfit. Peas in a pod, we would then see how many think they are still cute.
my dog loves wearing his devil dog cape. he swishes around quite proudly in it.
ps. i'd love to wear a matching outfit. me and my dog ARE two peas in a pod. and we are cute.
pss. lighten up.
Okay, okay. While I haven't put wigs and wings on my dogs...I am guilty of dressing them.
They had matching team shirts at a charity agility show.

And they had sailor shirts for a regatta we attended.

And they also wore argyle sweaters during the winter, we were recently moved from FL to TN. The sweaters actually kept them warm at the dog park and on walks.
This young man looks dapper regardless of whether he wears silly clothes, or not.

Feel free to pity them/make fun of me to no end.
Ugh!
These people love their animals? Or do they do this to reflect their own inane attempts to humanize and in the process objectify the animal for further abuse and humiliation.
Humiliation.
Serious humiliation.
My cats would claw my eyes out for even thinking of doing some thing like this to them. And they would be justified.
OMG Kimber, how cute!
