While June is still with us, we're trying to figure out if there's a good, inspiring contest to be had within the theme of Pet Month in July. As always, contests are our mechanism for prodding people to submit their good ideas and show off their domestic achievements so that others will be similarly inspired.
Right now we're thinking of asking people to submit their favorite Pet Design in two divisions: DIY and Professional. For example, if you've created the perfect birdcage that's DIY and if you've found the sexiest dogbed, that's professional. But we're open to your comments on the matter.
What would you like to see people contribute?

I think it sounds like a great idea. I'm particularly interested in how other Chicagoans have turned cat jungle-gyms into something other than eye sores (and I suspect it'll motivate me to gussy up the one in my house for submissions sake).
oh goodness!
this means i need to hurry and and finish my igunana cage interior!
OK, this motivated me to finally order sisal rope for a project I've been planning!
Not mine, but I think this is a cool way to give your cats some verticle room to climb and hang out...
click on the main pic & note the wall shelves on the left behind the sofa.

I'd love to see solutions for taking a regular black wire dog crate and making it not look like crap.
