Are you #teamcat or #teamdog? The cutest battle of the year starts tomorrow, March 20th. Help us decide once and for all the answer to a vital question: are the Apartment Therapy readers ultimately cat people or dog people? When it comes to favorite furry friends, cutest sofa snugglers and best all-around creatures to photograph on a favorite chair for Instagram, who will win: cats or dogs? Tomorrow, we kick off Apartment Therapy's first ever Pet Madness competition and we need you to help us decide...
We chose 32 absolutely adorable pets from our favorite house tours to create two superb teams of cat and dog contenders to playfully battle it out in a fierce 5 round tournament. Yes, it was hard work to have to decide who'd make the team from all our House-Tour pet stars, but we got tough and built a bracket of 32 formidable and furry foes — 16 cat and 16 dog challengers who will be bringing their most adorable yawn faces, belly stretches and "why are you taking another picture of me" expressions to the table — to battle it out every day.
The daily matchup battle ballots will be open every day (from 9am to 9pm) for you to cast your votes — not for which pet is the cutest (because they're all so equally cute that would be impossible) but rather for the most battle-worthy pet to represent their team in the final showdown. Pick the pet who you think will be best equipped to go up against the opposite team in the final bracket and secure the victory crown once and for all. The daily winners will advance to the next bracket and it goes on and on until we're left with just two fierce and fluffy rivals, one cat versus one dog in the final match-up, to take place on the final day of March.
Let's be honest: This is totally just an excuse to look at more cute cats and dogs, because these adorable opponents are all winners (obviously). But we are curious to find out who's going to be the most passionate — cat people or dog people?
Check out the full-size Pet Madness bracket and please join us tomorrow for the first round of voting.
