Combine designer Peter Stathis' expertise with merging minimalist aesthetics with energy efficient LEDs with home office accessory maker Mocketts' proclivity for ingenious hideaway features, and you've got the makings of a task light like no other.

The beauty of the Levity LED Task Light is its "not there until you need it" design; when turned off and stowed away, the whole lighting mechanism is completely hidden, except for a minimal grommet top. When a little direct or indirect light is needed, the Levity extends (up to 21") from it's hiding space with just a gentle pull upward, and reveal 6 energy efficient LEDs, offering a total of 660 lumens in almost any direction.

Here's what the Levity housing looks like under the surface.

The whole light can be tilted in nearly any direction, with the addition of 2 outlets to plug-in any electronic accessories (reflecting Mockett's expertise with hidden outlets), matching the Levity's hide-away wow factor with a pragmatic utility which makes the $517 price tag more palatable.
