Name: Peter
Location: Japantown — San Jose, California
Our house utilizes a lot of natural light and includes a broad mix of colors. The style is modern and fun, drawing inspiration from Apartment Therapy house tours. We are fans of many of the classics such as Nelson and Eames, but are always on the look out for new styles and anything we see that catches our eye.
We are huge fans of art and very proud that most of the artwork in the house was done by myself and my wife, or by our close friends. We base a lot of our color choices on the artwork that we have created, and vice versa. Being newlyweds, this was our first home together and pretty much furnished the entire place from scratch. Our challenge was to efficiently fill the space with not too much, while making it feel cozy and fun.
Thanks, Peter!

White Enamel Flatwa...
love, love , love your white credenza!!! where did you get it?
What is the color used on your dining room walls? Love it!!!
Ditto, I was searching for the same info on the credenza.
I would definitely love to see a full house tour - I I'm loving the art work that I can see, and everything looks so light and airy. :)
Just a quick question: where is that coffee table from? I have seen it in other house tours and I really like it.
CB2
It's the IKEA Torsby sideboard.
The wall color looks just like the paint in my apartment which I wasn't crazy about when I moved in. Now, I love its neutral-ness and plan on keeping it.
my uncle has a unit in this same development/community and although it looks like you choose the same color palette, it's cool to see how different your spaces look. Very fun!
the house looks absolutely wonderful! Congrats on furnishing from scratch! That can be quite the challenge!
The coffee table is Nelson Platform Bench. You can get the original at Room and Board and Design Within Reach. Knock off are all over the place. The authentic ones are made in USA and solid wood. The knockoff are probably made in China and laminate.
CB2: Credenza, Newspaper artwork, Red arc lamp, Chartreuse rocker, Iron side table, etc.
Ikea: Bedroom art, floor lamp, Malm side tables.
This is totally my style! I can be distracted at times by more formal, grand things. In general though, I love simple, comfortable, bright, happy, and fun! Great job! :)
The knockoff nelson benches warp and the laminate starts to crack after about a year. If you don't look too closely you don't notice it.
I like this apartment but I think it really needs a rug in the living room to anchor the space.
Love this warm and airy home, especially the original art. I disagree that there's too much IKEA/CB2 -- yes, there are some obvious pieces, but I think the owners did a great job of mixing it up (especially since it's their first home).
Where is the dining room table and the red floor lamp from?
Cute home!!
Cute pad guys. It all looks pretty neat. I like the fun art a lot. It's nice and airy feeling!
I like how the linear blinds become a statement when simply echoed in the coffee table. Very clever.
I would love to know the wall color throughout the house. Lovely.
Jealous of all your natural light. I would remove the apartment blinds in the living room immediately and hang curtains from the tippy top of the windows drawing your eye upwards to the beautiful ceiling height that I also wish I had. Congrats!
Smart.
Not my kind of wall color, but here it works perfectly well...
Bed & bedding info, plz!
Red floor lamp caught my eye!
Love it. love the floors. Is it Brazilian walnut? What brand? Thanks so much.
Can anyone tell me where the wood stool to the right of the bookshelf is from?
Very cool space! Love the colors. Would you mind telling me where you got the big piece of artwork in the dining room?
where did you get the plant pot and stand?
i love the setup throughout the entire home! much like the style i'm going for. awesome job, peter! :)
