A treasure! We recently picked up this amazing little gem of a book, packed with inspiration. It is Issue Number 7 of a Japanese publication called Petit Glam...
...and is entitled Modern Crafts. This issue comes packed in a box that is covered in a hand-screened Alexander Girard fabric (Feathers, 1957) produced by Maharam.
Divided into three main sections over its160 pages it features long articles on the following:
- Alexander Girard: The Texture of Modernism and Joys of Folk Art
- Stig Lindberg and Scandinavian Tableware
- Takeo Takei - Kanpon Sakuhin
A crash course in the work of these three creators, told through photos and short text (in both Japanese and English), it includes essays, interviews and, one of our favorite parts: a glimpse of Girard's living room in Santa Fe.
Available online for $42. at Maximo.
