Petri Soap Dishes from Cleaner Science

Cleaner Science is a soap shop inspired by science and nature, at the bacterial level. These petri dish soaps aren't filled with E. Coli, S. Enteritidis or even Salmonella. They're just designed to look that way to help make cleaning fun... and a little nerdy.

You can find Cleaner Science over at Makers Mart , a new website similar to Etsy from the creators of MAKE and Boing Boing which calls itself "a curated marketplace of wonderful science, tech, and artistic creations created and sold directly by some of our favorite Makers from around the world."

Cleaner Science's soaps measure 3.35in x 0.39in and are go for about 100 hand washings. Soaps consist of an all natural, hypo-allergenic coconut oil base which eerily resemble petri dish agar when un-dyed. Each petri dish is modeled after a particular bacteria and corresponding agar growing medium, including well-known E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus.
