You guys loved the Pets On Furniture feature at Desire To Inspire, so we decided to check out the cuteness they've collected since our last visit. Get ready to see some snuggly pets on cool furniture!
This batch of furry friends is even cuter than the last. Not even the promise of pet hair on the sofa could keep us from snuggling up next to one of these sweet faces. Instead of trudging out in the rain tonight, spend some quality time with your own woolly ones.

she's such a little imp!
WHO IS A CUTE WITTLE BOXER? WHO'S THE CUTIE WOOTIE BOXER?
Sorry. Lost control. So, so cute. Animals and design? Yes please. Love 2, 6, & 7 especially. Number 8 wants me to yell at it to get off the table, but I'm a dog person.
I know I'm gonna get a lot of grief for this, but animals, as cute as they are, don't belong on furniture! I know people that will freak out if someone so much as rests the side of a shoe on a sofa but will coo at the sight of their dog that hasn't been bathed in weeks lounging on a chair. A sofa that smells like dog is not a good thing. For me, the only way this could work is if a pet is bathed every day or so or if the furniture is throughly cleaned weekly. Plus, there are lots of great animal beds out there for them to lounge in!
ldcinlb - but that's because shoes don't wiggle their way into our hearts the way only a puppy or kitten can. When we got our Jack Russell on the farm years ago, my mom said, "He can come inside, but only in the back hall." Then after about a week, "Okay, he can come in the kitchen and dining room, but NOT in the carpeted rooms." Then... "Okay, but not on the furniture." And so on... "not on the beds" and eventually, "not IN the bed." Before a few months had passed, he was sleeping in the bed cuddled between her and dad.
They're just so IRRESISTIBLE. :)
these pix are all adorable but #2 and #15 are beyond cute!
@cafegurl19 I agree! Yours is cuter than what's posted up there! :) Looks likes he owns the place!
nomadchicky- I know they're irresistible...I had a scottie that I loved to death, but she still didn't go on the furniture. She had her own bed on the floor and she was very happy there. I've seen where those cute little paws go and what that adorable little mouth regular licked, and really, any creature that can eat its own poo really needs a place of it's own to lounge about! :-)
cafegurl19: I have an Australian Shepherd that sleeps just like that on the couch. So cute!
Quite agree with ldcinlb (even I have seen where those cute little paws go ... Ugh!)
But I'm fighting a losing battle with our little mutt. For the first 6 months in our house she was perfectly happy on the floor and on her bed. Now she is up on the beds, the sofas, and everywhere.
sunnycloud- be strong! Just say no and be consistent! That's how I did it.
Only if your pet matches the sofa perfectly
In my view, either you're an animal person or you aren't. If you are an animal person, you love them like family and want them to sit on the couch with you.
I won't even mention my friend who had friends over for dinner, including friends' kids (no infants or even toddlers), and her Le Corbusier chaise lounge got peed on. True story.
dogs go on dogbeds? sure if you've brought them up well they might even listen to you. But cats? every cat bed thing i've tried out has been troughly discarded by the cat. she will not even look at the thnigs. and by the time i'm out of the door she's waving me good bye from the kitchen counter, wich in my opinion is troughly cat no-go area. so dog can be trained but cats...........hopeless.
haha, #2 and #15 are super cute!
abbytail: When I lived with cats, they were perfectly content with curling up in cat beds. And my experience with dog beds is your experience with cat beds. Rather than dogs vs. cats, I think it's personality to personality (as far as sleeping areas). But like you, I have never known a cat that has never jumped onto the kitchen counter whenever she felt like it.
I'm in love with the jack russell in row three.
I LOVE the second picture (upside down kitty). Reminds me of my own cat. She lays likes to look at the world upside down like that too.
We buy Abbey Road cute little kittie beds and she won't use them. She likes our big bed better!
Abbey Cat on furniture!!

Ha! I love upside down kitty. That was a common sight in our house when the furkids were babies.
As for on the furniture - if the cats shouldn't be on it, then neither should I. We're all animals and just walking out the front door and back in again we track as much crap (literally and figuratively) through the house as the cats do.
Wash your hands, use clean dishes and don't lick the floors. You'll be fine.
stay away from those lilies, little white kitty! They're poisonous to you and at the very least will stain your lovely fur with their pollen!
I love all of these pics, especially #1, 2, 3, 8, 10 & 15!
I agree with others who say that you're either an animal lover or you're not. I have 3 cats & while they jumped on my kitchen counter/table when I 1st adopted them (& got scolded), they are always right there next to me on the sofa or bed. They are my babies and are treated as such but I don't like them on surfaces that will be touched by food. They now know not to jump onto anything in the kitchen...so I do think you can train cats; you just have to be consistent & VERY patient.
ldcinlb: Maybe dogs need to be bathed regularly to not stink but cats do a great job of grooming themselves & don't smell at all...especially if they are indoor cats like mine. =)
These are hilarious. The little one in number 10 looks like a Ralphie to me. That's a dog!
I am on both sides of the pets on furniture debate! Cats on my furniture are alright, but dogs on the furniture are a definite no-no! I never really gave it much thought before, but I guess it's because cats are much cleaner (comparatively) and my cat is strictly an indoor cat. My dogs on the other hand (cuddly, energetic Rhodesian Ridgebacks) are always running around in the yard and don't really seem inclined to get up on the furniture anyway! They are quite happy with some warm towels in front of the TV!
i think my baby riot is the best.

Omigod ChicagoCharm!--your doggie is sooo cute!!! 1 of my cats (RIP Ashley) used to sleep like that all the time...they look like little humans, don't they?
Each to his own, yes? I allow my dogs on the couch and people who visit me in my home are aware of that. I would never presume that this means that my pets may use another person's couch. Just as I respect another person's way of living in their own home, so I expect someone else to respect mine. Otherwise, just don't visit!
That being said, I have an awesome vacuum steam cleaner...
By the way, not true that dogs need to be bathed regularly not to stink. Frequent bathing does not rid a dog of its natural body smell, sometimes it exacerbates it because the skin responds by producing more oils. Some dogs have a little or a pleasant odor and some have a strong smell. Luck of the draw, I've been fortunate with mine.
