We have a confession to make. Although we want to be green in every way possible, when it comes to lighting, CFL bulbs are just...well...awful. We've gotten over the design of them but it's not quite as easy to get over their light. We like the warm glow of an incandescent bulb, the way it dims and that it responds immediately when we turn it on. So, what's a green Apartment Therapy blogger to do? Looks like Lemnis lighting may have a solution...
Lemnis Lighting, the leader in LED lighting innovations, has created the Pharox 6W light bulb. Equivalent to a 60W bulb, with dimming capabilities and a warm, soft glow (up to 3000k), the Pharox 6W is the only 60W equivalent to closely resemble a traditional incandescent bulb and fit residential fixtures. And, to top it off, it's been said to last 6 times longer than a CFL, plus it has no mercury. It'll be available starting later this fall on Amazon or on MyPharox.com. I'm a one of the buyers in the purchasing department for a hotel chain. We have been looking for an LED replacement for all the incandescent light bulbs used in our light stands and desk lamps. After careful review the Pharox turned out to be one of the best replacements for us. It also dims very nicely and the kelvin temperture is very similar to an incandescent lamp. I contacted the manufacture and they recommended their authorized distributor in Los Angeles called Alcon Lighting. I called them for pricing and additional infomation. They were able to offer me an amazing low price. Their team is very informative about LED products. The link to their website is as follows:
