Lately we have been really mesmerized by Philippe Starck's interiors for global developer Yoo Group. Even though they're very upscale, we've found a few ideas that could be incorporated into almost any apartment...

Ideas to steal from this apartment in Leeds: paint a swath of black behind the television set to pull together an entertainment center, tack up photos in a reigned-in collage that doesn't look like dorm art, and use opulent accents in unexpected spaces (like the kitchen).

We love how the line of barstools plays off the line of Ghost Chairs along the wall in this Toronto apartment.

Ideas to steal from this Toronto apartment: arranging the sofa on an angle, using floor-to-ceiling sheers over the windows, adding a fluffy sheepskin throw to warm up neutral furniture.

The chalkboard walls, leather Egg Chair, and chandelier floor lamp in this Munich apartment are awesome. The silver candlesticks on the table are a nice touch, too. For more information, visit the websites of Yoo Group and Philippe Starck.

It drives me nuts when I see couches at an angle.
Reined-in! Argh! Like reins on a horse, not like a queen reigning.
Anyway, I do love the photo collage and am trying to figure out how to make it work for me.
If I'm going to buy a $3000 piece of furniture like the womb chair, you betcha it's going to be in a neutral that I can live with the rest of my life.
Oh Cheryl no! The Womb chair is such a wierd quirky shape....putting it in neutral is like putting it in camoflage.
With a $30k budget for a lounge chair, dining table chairs and some lights, it better look cool...
I'm loving the color of the Womb chair. The powder blues with the creams and whites is gorgeous.
I love that some of these interiors are upscale.
