From time to time we like to look on auction sites to see some amazing pieces of furniture that unfortunately are out of our range. The collections include furniture, ceramics, lighting, art, and jewelery from across decades. For us it has proven to be a great way to learn about artists and designers and their work. If you like to collect vintage furniture, it will also give you an idea what pieces will hold their value. Phillips de Pury & Company auction is coming up and we thought we would share some of our favorites.

Phillips de Pury & Company is an auction house, founded in 1796 in London by Harry Phillips. With its long history, the focus of the company is now on sale of contemporary art, design, jewelry, and photography. The global headquarters of the company is now located in Chelsea, the art district of New York City.

Their next Design auction is in London on April 30th. On their website there are over 160 items that will be for sale. Some of them are incredible examples of design in 20th century.

For the full catalog check out the Philips de Pury & Company website.
