If this weekend doesn't make you an art collector, then nothing may. And don't say you can't afford the art for sale, because Phillips de Pury is giving some away! At the Pulse Art Fair, this weekend, as well as online, Phillips de Pury is holding a raffle. The prize, awarded on PhillipsArtExpert.com on Monday, is three prints in the shape of a light box by emerging artist Ben Cain. So, register now for your chance to win.
In fact, Ben Cain is one of many emerging artists whose work is on display through April 19th as part of Phillips de Pury's Associates in New York exhibit.
Associates is a non-profit gallery initiative in London that features works by cutting-edge contemporary artists. Twelve emerging artists are together for the first time in this NY show. In London, they each had one month for a private show, from which they received 100 percent of the proceeds!
But wait, there's more! Phillips de Pury will also show off some emerging artists in the IMPULSE section of the Pulse Art Fair, at Pier 40 (Houston St. and the West Side Highway). And if Phillips de Pury considers these artists emerging, then clearly their careers are off to a very good start.
And if, after all that gawking at great art, you want to get serious and attend a real live auction, head over to Under the Influence on Monday at the Phillips de Pury New York showroom. There are hundreds of incredible pieces for sale by artists inspired by the current gestalt.
