Name: Philomena
Location: Beacon Hill — Boston, Massachusetts
My home has been my refuge for the last 1½ years as I face a myriad of changes in my life. It is an expression and reflection of who I am, my love of different cultures and my love of art.
Every room has a theme, even the hallways! I have no design experience but I think all in all things came out just fine. I hope your readers think so too.
Thanks, Philomena!

Different...and AWESOME. I like the warm colors and the art collection. It's obvious that a lot of care went into this space. Very nice. Thanks for sharing!
I like your art, but the furniture placement is strange and would drive me crazy. The chairs at the foot of the bed make the bedroom look congested. Also in the second pic, so many chairs lined up in front of your other furniture, blocking use of the drawers in the chests.
I loooove the tree paintings!
very boston
Your dining room is perfectamente. Those paintings are incredible.
I love Boston and I love your beautiful refuge. Lots of interesting treasures without looking cluttered or disorganized. Very stylish and personal. Could there be a full house tour in your (our) future? I hope so. You have great taste.
I think so.
I love the way you mixed the Piet Hein table in with the old world look. The Eames ottomans as seating are great.
I am jealous of the wood flat file looks great in that room.
I'd love to know the name of the artist who created the painting in the third pic, the painting of two women above the bureau...
So warm, love the furniture, love the art! Great job.
The African inspired bedroom is my favorite (but only if you remove the two chairs at foot of the bed and also the cafe table and chairs). The room needs more space to breathe and less is more. You're on the right track though in developing a unique style.
great great artwork. Furniture placement on the other hand not. The room with all the single chairs looks more like either a waiting area, or when you just move in and put the chairs in one place. Just too many, with no path to the door, feels too crowded.
This is more than enough stuff to gorgeously decorate two apartments of that size. Can I volunteer to live in one of them?
I love that art- it's fantastic....
Beautiful! There are so many wonderful things here, and overall it comes together so well. I agree about removing the chairs from the foot of the bed, though. Thanks for sharing your lovely home!
Wow! I see your collection has really expanded! I remember how fun your aesthetic was when I helped you with a certain apt. in JP a few years back. Would love to hear from you!
