Having a hard time choosing just one photo for a birthday invitation? Christy decided a collage (sent in a box complete with little magnifying glasses!) was in order to even begin to capture her little guy.

Christy writes,
"Like most parents, I have so many favorite photographs of my child and couldn't choose just one for his invitation, so I collected 100 of my favorites from his first year and had photo collages printed through Kodak Gallery. (100 photos was the max that I could use, otherwise I would have tried for 365.) I slipped the photo collages into a pocket envelope (half-moon enclosures from Paper Source) into which I cut out the number one with a craft knife so that the images would peek through. On the back of the pocket envelope, I printed out the party info on label paper. The invitations were then placed into a mailing box along with magnifying glasses."
We can definitely sympathize with the difficulty in choosing one photo. For our daughter's 100th day (a Korean celebration), we gave out magnet collages as favors.
Adding the magnifying glasses really takes this card up a notch. We also like the green and blue color combination. Thanks for sharing Christy!

Shaw's Original Fir...
What an adorable idea! I'd love to see more pictures of the invitations (e.g., actual collage and back of the envelope). Also, where did she get her magnifying glasses and mailing box? I'd love to do this idea for Christmas Cards for the grandparents.
Genius!
It wouldn't be in my budget to send these to my large family especially knowing they'd get tossed eventually, but I think this would be such a fun keepsake for a child every year when he's younger! So much fun.
