Sweet memories of band camp? These metal music stands have been repurposed as picture stands! This simple DIY project is a great way to add a bit of musical flair to your room. Made from discarded metal music stands, these upcycled picture stands are handy and easy to hang. Learn more below the jump.
Simply unscrew the music stand from the bottom leg. Then you can either mount it on the wall, or simply use wire to hang it over a nail. Old wooden music stands with bad legs can make this look a little more traditional. Either way this is an easy piece to make and add to your walls. This idea sprouted at the Bachman's Fall Ideas House in Minnesota.
Check out end of the year sales from schools getting new equipment, old music teachers, or instrument shops to find your upcycled music stands!
