This new "shelf" from OOO My Design is really, well, more than a shelf. It's a giant version of a pin art toy that can actually hold books, toys, and even life-sized impressions of your child.
Pin Pres can be adapted easily since the surface is made of lots of sliding "pins." Pull out a few adjacent ones to create a shelf, or stick any toy into extended pins to produce a custom-sized, cave-like compartment. Or, if cleaning up isn't your game, press your whole body into the board to leave an impression.
It's a fun concept, although perhaps more toy than shelf. With pins extending on both sides, you'll need to place it somewhere where you can access both sides. But we find the concept fantastically unusual and innovative. The product doesn't appear to be for sale in OOO My Design's shop yet, but we hope to see it there in the near future!

Ok, not going to work as a shelf really but SO COOL, like that big table one at the Exploratorium. Only better. I want to play with it.
I had a the hand-held version as a kid (and teenager) and it was probably the most played with toy (even as a teenager) and I bet the fun to be had with one as big as that would be ENDLESS!
