We met local piñata maker Meghan Keys at the benefit party for Pink: A (Love) Courier Service a couple weeks ago (shown below). Her pink heart-shaped piñata was filled with love and candy, and we thought that more Chicagoans could use some piñata-filled entertainment now and then. Bring one home (Keys also delivers by bicycle), or take one to the park. It doesn't have to be a kid thing, either...

Made in her home kitchen, custom designs/ideas are always welcome, and Meghan will work with you every step of the way, including selecting what goes inside. Rates run around the $20-$30 mark.
Llaves Designs' website is currently under construction, but for now you can peruse her work on Flickr, and contact her at:
meghan.keys@gmail.com.
Thanks, Meghan!

Ooh, I want to see that bird finished!
Reminds me of one Easter at our landlord's annual ranch BBQ... he provided a pinata for the kiddos that we just could not break. First everyone lined up and took their turn blindfolded, youngest to oldest. Then everyone had a second shot without the blindfolds. Then the men stepped in and started whacking it. They knocked all the points off the star but it just wouldn't give up the candy! I think we finally dropped it and bashed it while it was on the ground before the center broke.
Sounds like the perfect thing for an adult party for a bridal shower... think of all the fun little goodies you can put inside!
Meghan I'm so proud of you! Those are so great! I miss you, dollface!
