While we love a traditional bookcase to showcase our favorite reads, we couldn’t help but bookmark the Piola Bookshelf for our “must have one day” list. Take a look at this neat leaning bookcase...

These books would look great on the Piola Bookcase
Striking the perfect balance between art piece and functional holder for literature, this modern piece with large rectangular pegs forming book “holders” would look great in any space. We love that the Piola Bookcase comes in a colorwheel look, a more rustic version and even a “color upon request” option.
PIOLA POP / Semi-glossy white lacquered structure with varnished laquered pegs in eight colors that can be mixed and matched.
PIOLA FLESH / Glossy white lacquered structure with matte water varnished pegs in fleshpink, black or other colors upon request.
PIOLA KITCHEN / Reduced measurements for the Kitchen library, designed to hold food & wine reference books at arms’ reach in the kitchen area.

Didn't see price on the link -- any idea, Rebecca?
Interesting in a sculptural way. Not practical for someone who has LOTS of books.
If you had to have it - this is so DIY.
This would be a very quick DIY - a table saw and a powerdrill would do the trick, or even a hand saw and hammer nails. I'd extend the pegs out further in the kitchen version so they could double as wine bottle holders.
I want to play 'Plinko' with my books!
Oy... why is it that designers are always too clever for their own good? A thousand years have gone into book design to perfect the weight distribution, surface wear, cover wear, ease of locating titles on the shelf, and even to prevent dust mites from consuming the paper. Then some designer goes and mucks up the shelf.
Books require stability and horizontal surfaces. Any book that you would treat with respect you wouldnt put on this shelf.
Would this work for wine? Like the peg system in the other post?
DIY indeed.
