Name: Piper (2)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Division: Single Room
Room Size: 70 square feet
Tip for Living Small with Kids: We tried to keep in mind appropriate activities for a young child in a small space, such as promoting sleep, what she would like to see when she woke up, and keeping tactile toys that function well in a compact space. Though we usually prefer cooler neutrals and whites, the warm paint tone gives a cozy feeling. Piper's favorite spot is the tiny space between the wall and the radiator behind the chair. Go figure, the smaller the better!
Biggest Design Challenge in this Room: Making sure it didn't feel cluttered... and the biggest is yet to come (how to make room for her brother to be).
Favorite Thing About This Room: The light and the storage space.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Simple and calming AND has a window for natural light which is so important I think. I love it!
the mobile is nice. the room's a bit bland for a kid in my opinion, though. not really seeing how the walls were such a leap away from their color comfort zone.
love, love, love this room. i have to disagree with the previous post and say that the room is bland. i think the artwork, the mobile and the toys give this room just enough pop to be interesting and remain soothing.
Love the print! Where can I find it?
I am not usually such of fan of so much white but I like it here. I think a nice brightly colored rug would add a lot to the room.
i just want to say again how much i love this room! i realize i made a mistake earlier and said that i "disagreed with the previous post and say that the room is bland", i meant to say that "i disagree with the previous post's claim that the room is bland" i think this room is very soothing and playful all at once.
