Pippocampus Rocking Horse

Pippocampus Rocking Horse

With a name that nods to the ancestor of the horse, Pippocampus is "a postmodern ode to a rocking horse." We love a pomo gag as much as the next person, but what really appeals to us -- other than this toy's sleek, sculptural lines -- is the fact that it's been rigorously tested to ensure it won't overturn. (Have you ever seen a rider get thrown from a rocking horse? It's not pretty. And it really puts a damper on the rodeo.)

Designed by Gianpietro Gai and Luca Nichetto, Pippocampus is intended for children ages one to three. Made of rugged polypropylene.
