We're loving the banner, bunting and pennant trend as decor these days. But a personal childhood favorite of ours is the pinwheel.
We've seen all kinds - plastic, paper, and metallic - but this is the first time seeing pinwheels made of felt. We found these Pirouette Pinwheels by Etsy seller Giant Dwarf. She sells them in a colorful bouquet of eight - great for decorating or as party favors. Unfortunately, by the time we got to them, she was sold out but bookmark it and check back with her soon.

I also am so excited about pinwheels these days, I just posted a tutorial on how to make paper ones- http://thecitycradle.com/a-pinwheel-tutorial-the-easiest-ever both easy and lovely, they are the best!
these are super-cute, but as a kid I'd be frustrated that they didn't spin in the breeze.
Still, a sweet touch--i think they'd look cute on curtain finials or as part of a mobile.
We love and adore making pinwheels, here are the paper pinwheels we made for "Pinwheels for Peace:" http://www.se7en.org.za/2009/09/24/simple-spinning-pinwheels-in-se7en-steps
