Pixelated Decor

As a child of the eighties, having seen video games and graphics evolve from 8-bit basic imagery to amazing, lifelike representations, we have a soft spot for pixelation. It feels like digital nostalgia, and considering our penchant for things square, it simply makes us happy. In tune with some of the other pixel-happy design we've seen lately, here are some of our favorites... • 1 Collect / Cabinet from Swedish furniture brand, A2 designs. • 2 Rianne Makkink & Jurgen Bey of studio Makkink & Bey created these seemingly pixelated chairs for a Milan exhibit, "Prophets and Penitents." • 3 Dutch designer Kiki van Eijk updated the floral look with a bit of graphic breakdown in this beautiful rug. • 4 Meninos presents these Large Squares lamp shades that light things up with a little digital flair. • 5 Love this bedding from Heal's bursting with 8-bit color.
