For the last six years I've used one tool every single day, sometimes more than once. No, it's not my toothbrush; it's a dog toy. Since I throw like a girl (which I'm totally OK with), I've always used a plastic device to help me get some distance when I throw balls for my precious pooch. Now there's an eco-friendly option that makes me feel a little bit better about my dedicated and dependent daily usage!
For years I've used the old stand by Chuck It but I've always had my reservations. After years of use and my pup trying to steal the balls out of its grip prior to throwing (she's a dog-jerk like that), little bits of plastic have come off. We're not talking large pieces, but even small shards aren't something I want her ingesting.
Planet Dog makes a similar product that uses bamboo instead of plastic for strength and flexibility and adds a cork handle for a comfortable grip. We've made the switch and have greatly enjoyed doing so! It throws just as far and gets the job done just the same. It does work better with the balls made by Planet Dog since they're stickier instead of slick like tennis balls (which can be a hazard to dogs to begin with).
