Planning Outdoor Space for a Toddler

Good Questions

Q: We live in a pine forest in Texas and have a 3 acre lot. Our daughter is turning 2 soon and we're starting to think of outdoor activities for her. We like the Waldorf/Montessorri/natural playground idea - and we have a few ideas of our own. We're planning on using pine tree logs (trees died in last summer's drought) and making a stepping stone path with varied height logs. But, we're looking for more ideas and would prefer to avoid the standard playset that is available at big box stores (and their high prices). I've been unable to find anything on line and was wondering if anyone is doing this at home or is it just for schools and parks? We'd really love some help!
