I am by no means a gardener and I definitely don't have anything close to a green thumb. I'm not afraid to admit it. However, I am trying to do something about it! I'm eager to learn a thing or two and living in South Philadelphia — you must understand I don't have much room so I can't facilitate a full size traditional garden.
There's no one plant or herb in particular that I'd like to grow — so my options are wide open. Pallets are so easy to come by in this city (mainly due to all of the food warehouses throughout the city), so I'm very intrigued by the pallet garden I found on Poppytalk. It would be a neat addition to my back patio and keep the planters off the ground.
Due to the fact that there isn't a lot of flat square footage on my back patio, going vertical seems like a logical option. There are so many DIY vertical garden instructions floating around online that the idea of doing it myself doesn't seem overly daunting. Needless to say, I'm not going for the traditional look of bunching planters in the corner!
What do you think of these planters gone wild?
