Halloween is a creative outlet for so many people in the city, and gardeners are no exception. Don't forget to look in window boxes and between the mums for some spookiness...

Pumkins and jack-o-lanterns abound, but I loved this one outside of a local storefront.

And up in a tree, a lone crow/raven is poised for rapping on the windows. Even though the hours are long and I love nothing more than arriving at my own door, this is a night for exploring and appreciating the whimsy and imagination of our neighbors. I will be keeping my eyes open the whole way home.
