PlantTherapy: Klaus Wagener's Floral Work

Klaus Wagener is a German floral artist who works with surprising materials, seeming to combine on a whim. The works above, using silkworm coccoons (left) and rhubarb (right) are only the beginning to his creative combinations. See more of his works after the jump...

Klaus' website highlights his many projects and books. Among them is Two Faces of Floral Design, a book co-created with fellow floral artist Gregor Lersch. I especially loved the combination of Ilex and red roses with the wood ring and bark vase - and also what appear to be strips of lemon zest in the tulip vase water. It was disappointing not to find more photos of Two Faces, especially after the intriguing shots of his works from his website. It is available through a German publisher, BLOOMs for roughly $145.00. Or, with a bit of luck, it might appear over at Rizzoli Bookstore on 57th some day.
