PlantTherapy: Fall Color Contest's Plants and Flowers (part 1)

Plants and flowers were busy playing supporting roles in many of the entries for the Fall Colors Contest. I thought it might be fun to round up pictures based on that and put them in a few posts on this cold and cloudy Saturday. After the jump you can find a collection of some of the pictures that used them to enhance the space in both big and small ways...

ChrisToronto and Mike's apartment used their plants to draw your eyes upward. The Dracaena foliage dropping in front of the window has the nice effect of a chandelier.

The two cloud-like horizontal Phalaenopsis stems are a peaceful addition that add some organic lines to the bedroom.

John's Bold, Bright, Day or Night

The plants in Dldawson and John's entries created beautiful shapes along with their planters. The Phalaenopsis along with its vase and stand make a beautiful vertical form. Dldawson's plant and stand shape outline looks great spaced out among all of the rectangles.
