We LOVE designer Marco Pasanella's bedroom, as photographed in the September 2008 Martha Stewart Living magazine. The fantastic bed, the yellow and white color scheme and...the "plastic holders" used to display a potentially rotating set of photographs. Problem is that we're not quite sure where to find such good looking holders, particularly in such a yummy yellow. Any ideas?...
In the article they're simply referred to as "plastic holders" but we're thinking there must be some more scientific search term we could use. Have you ever used this method for displaying photos?

It looks to me like plastic photograph sleeves you can get at your local office supply store - and the photos are simply slid into those sleeves in front of colored paper...

My very thought. Easy and inexpensive, too. And with the array of scarpbooking paper available, you can match any decor.
love-love this idea!!! It would look best in a simple setting like the room featured above. A cluttered look might make it look tacky.

we used to use these at a printing place i worked at.
i think clipboards would be much classier.
as above: job ticket holders. uline is a great spot for industro-chic... however, these are generally PVC and the material is *very* bad for photos and will not play well with glossy surfaces (esp. combined with even normal heat and humidity). if one were to do this, i'd suggest keeping the originals in archival holders and instead scan and print (inkjet on matte paper) display copies.
Nice bedroom! I have a question about the rug hanging over the bed. Where can I find good hardware to hang a 5x6 rug?

blueprint ran this as an idea for photo displaying in one of their issues. I think it was the 2nd or 3rd one. They have the source for these exact ones listed in the issue - they also come in red, i think.
LOL, Marco is married to one of the former editors of Blueprint...Anyway, the job jackets which they used in the Blueprint story (which appear to be the same as these) were from Lineco, no website listed, phone # 1-800-322-7775.
Courtesy of Marco's wife's blog post a while back, here is a link for the Lineco ones used in Blueprint. I used this idea to hang my kids' art in a uniform way from a slim magnetic strip above our breakfast counter.

in terms of looking for a clear plastic "holder":
sounds like a simple office supply paper protector to me. ad a little ribbon over the place part that has the 3 holes in it for the binder and voila.
oooh and one other thing:
