While giving a recycled gift is good in its own right, it’s even better when the gift gives back. Plates With Purpose give a portion of its proceeds to local and national nonprofit organizations. There are eleven designs, each reflecting the mission of the charity they represent.

Riverside Design donates 15% of Plates With Purpose proceeds to its partner chapters of the following organizations:

• Butterfly: Forbes Hospice

• Elephant: National Autism Association

• Forget-Me-Not: Alzheimer’s Association

• Healing Garden: Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC

• Heart: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh

• Ladybug: United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation

• Bach Signature: Bach Choir of Pittsburgh

• Stars: Persad Center & Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force

• Trees: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

• Wheat: Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

• Sunflower: POWER (Pennsylvania Organization for Women in Early Recovery)

Plates With Purpose are made of recycled glass and non-toxic color, and are dishwasher and microwave safe. Each plate is available in three sizes: 9x9, 5x10 and 14 x 14. The packaging is even done nicely with a neat corrugated recycled content paper wrap and bound with a thick reusable rubber band. Get more information about the program and see all the designs at PlatesWithPurpose.com. The plates are available for purchase at their website and retailers nationwide.
