Like many of you Kate is a busy gal and as much as she has loved all the DIY play kitchens she's seen on Ohdeedoh, building one just wasn't a realistic project to take on right now. Instead she bought one at Target and made two easy changes to put her own stamp on it - can you spot them?

Yep, you guessed it - paint and fabric. This soothing blue color is a better fit for her and her son than the garish pink of the original. And a coordinating cabinet curtain to compliment it is about one of the easiest sewing projects you could undertake (or do a no-sew version).

So if you don't have the time, energy, resources or skills for a built play kitchen - Kate's kitchen is a great example of how you can gussy up or personalize something store bought with minimal effort and maximum effect.

Thanks Kate!
