Punxatawney Phil didn't see his shadow last weekend, but that doesn't mean you can't see yours. Celebrate Groundhog Day with these five activities that celebrate the dark side.

Our "new" Head of Children's Department (in the Library where I work) is outstanding at shadow puppetry. He makes it an art form! (One new show every year at Halloween, and possibly others now and then, is his goal.) He pre-records the story with music and sound effects, then can perform the puppet show without being distracted.
This makes me think of those oil lamps with the trees/flowers that are projected on the wall when the lamp is lit. I'm thinking of making one but having a "creature" instead.
