Structure Design and Build, a design duo out of Boston, has discovered a brilliant way to reclaim discarded piano scrolls - making them into one-of-kind lamps.

Player piano scrolls are, for the most part, a thing of the past. So with all these discarded parchments, Structure Design and Build smartly decided to construct this very charming lamp.

Because a player piano's scrolls roll down the piano, this version of "I Had the Craziest Dream Last Night" has the lyrics read from the bottom up.

The aged paper diffuses the light into a beautiful, warm glow, while the perforations of the paper allow the light to sift through the slots and eluminate the room in an abstract pattern, like a night sky in the craziest dream.

Meet the designers of Structure Design and Build this weekend while they feature their Piano Scroll Lamps, along with other design objects, at Room 68's Grand Opening on October 15th and 16th.
