CJL: you'd be surprised how many people in LA use space heaters. Many of my female friends call them "life savers"...they're plenty strewn throughout offices and home offices under desks!

Is there anywhere you can purchase this in the US?
I hate to point this out, but the company's website states that all sales are to Japanese domestic shoppers only and that warranties are only valid for Japan. In other words, no dice U.S. fans!

I have the orange humidifier. We had to order it from the website. I recently met Naoto Fukasawa at the National IDSA Conference two weeks ago in SF. His philosophy of design is so clear through the design of his products. Go and buy his book for an interesting read.
Doesn't Japan use 220v current?
