Plyboo is the first formaldehyde-free bamboo flooring to carry Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. All of their flooring, plywood and veneers are derived from Moso bamboo harvested from a forest that requires no irrigation, fertilizers or pesticides. Each year, only 20 percent of the plantation's bamboo (or only the five-year growth) is cut, ensuring the forest canopy remains intact and the ecosystem is not disturbed.
In 2009, Plyboo was selected as one of Sustainable Industries' Top 10 Green Building products of 2009.
Plyboo currently has 27 surface options available in plywood, flooring, paneling and veneer. We particularly appreciate the detailed specs they provide upfront and center on their website in each of the product descriptions.
