Plywood Working for Everybody

Our husband has been woodworking, as a hobby, for almost a year now and while we are certainly reaping the benefits of his new love (a table, several frames, toys for the kid) what we've really gone gaga for is his book Plywood Working for Everybody.

I love those older books. I have a couple including a "handyman" one from the early 1960's and while the cartoonish figures are a bit silly the photographs and instructions are awesome. It covers all sorts of household tasks and I am constantly referencing it when I need to replace a faucet or figure out why the toilet is leaking.

One thing though...
you say "Our husband has been woodworking" and I'm wondering if you're part of a polygamous marriage...

the wording has me confused too. is the author of the book the husband to a group of wives?

i'm a bit confused what's being said, who is doing what, how many wives, which one had the kid, is the husband the author, etc.

but our we of me thinks the book looks cool.

Ha, ha Monica! I was just about to say the same thing. Definitely sounds polygamist. Yeah, "we" works, except when it doesn't.

i have to echo everyone else's comments. apartment therapy's use of the royal we is just getting out of control and irritating beyond belief. sometimes i have to skip posts just because the poor grammar is too much to take. i think everyone here understands that different people are responsible for the posts, and it's time to let you AT individuals post as individuals!

Seriously, AT, when are you going to take note that most of AT does not like the royal "we"?
