Space saver alert. We just found the Polder Duo Shower Rod at Linens N Things and fell in love. It's a classic, chrome shower curtain rod with a twist: it's a double rod: the inner one for the shower curtain and the outer one for hanging towels.
For those of us with limited wall space in the bathroom, this is a treasure. And it's pulled off without being too bulky or noticeable.
Five feet of extra hanging space for under $40 is not bad, not bad at all.

@Towel Heretic, you might live in the Southwest. I live there and can throw a damp towel over a damp shower curtain and both dry out just fine in the dry air. In South Louisiana, that wouldn't work at all.
I know this is not DIY, but I'm desperately hoping someone might have a suggestion. I've used a regular tension rod in my shower for years but recently the darn thing just won't stay up. Someone said it's because it's ceramic tile and it can't get enough traction. But why now? 5 years of use with only an occasional crash, and now I'm lucky to get completely through a shower before it falls! Can anyone give me an idea why this is happening and what to do about it? I already purchased a new rod and it still happens. Thanks
