Poliform Life in 80m²: The Living Room 2.0

Here's a good takeaway lesson for mixing technology and the living room courtesy of sexy modern furniture designers Poliform from Italy. The secret? Have a general purpose and goal for the designated space.

And branch off from there. If it's made for conversation, definitely move the TV away from the focal point. This means no mounting above the fireplace, placing all of the seats around it, and embellishing it with fancy LED backlighting.

Also, be sure to invest in some fine and comfortable seating if you plan on having guests over. If your floors are hardwood, use large and comfortable rug to connect all of the living room pieces together.

Last but not least, whether you're leaning towards man-cave or hang-out crib, it's essential that there's good lighting throughout. If you have the luxury of having huge windows, use it to your advantage. If not, there's plenty of options out there when it comes to lighting (from pretty clever to extremely eclectic), the choice is up to you.
