Yesterday, I posted a bizarre Octagonal Carriage House in Hoboken — today, I'm stepping it up with a polyhedron garden house on the outskirts of Bogota, Colombia.
Really an "outside room" the detached polyhedron and teak deck are in the backgarden of a larger house. Architect Manuel Villa designed the geometric structure as a daytime escape — the primarily pine structure features windows for light and ventilation, a domed skylight, desk and sofa.

I want one!!
that last picture makes me want to roll it down the hill.
that would be a cool guest area too,if the sofa could fold out, thought I guess it wouldn't offer much privacy.
I grew up in a dome house ---LIKE LIKE.
gorgeous!
Amazing!
Me encanta!
i want one too. how cool!
"Villa designed [it] as a daytime escape..." Escape from what? The luxury of the rest of his fabulous property? The blessing of his talent and education and success as an architect?
Sorry. Villa has designed something lovely and inspired. It's just a little hard to swallow the word "escape" in these coupon-clipping penny-counting job-searching times, from which so many have no escape -- not even back to the very ordinary homes they've lost.
Love it! If it were a little bigger and had plumbing, I'd live in it full time.
Fantastic and clever...but hardly an original idea for an architect, I guess.
