Nature Calls. Artist and designer Alena Hennessy has a specific aesthetic that toes the line between the natural world and sleek design. We're huge fans of her birds in flight and enjoy her pillows and tote bags. Her limited color palette is at once refreshing and restricting...

Will she expand her line to include more color options? In addition to her textile designs and birds in flight, Alena sells original prints and paintings on her site. We've also seen some of her wares at Mxyplyzyk.

Okay... all of this toile and the plant/flower silhouettes... printed on EVERYTHING. Is this trend on its last legs or does this have staying power?
I'm tired of it, but am still buying it because when it's done right it can be so attractive, and I'm still finding things that I love.
it's way too twee for me. the birds and the bees and the flowers....i cannot get into it. i find most of it too cutesy, even when done well, but that's my sensibility. others love it. i guess it makes them happy, so that works.
I agree - twee's the right word.
