When we think of painting an old piece of furniture, we usually think about painting the entire piece one color. And while that can turn out some great results, we're smitten with this version of the painted dresser.
Choosing a simple, graphic image to paint onto a dresser (or other piece of furniture) is a great way to infuse color and pattern into a room. We think this idea could work well to rehabilitate a dresser that has flaws or that is lacking in interesting detail. I'm already looking around the house for something I can paint this weekend.
Would you like to see the rest of the house this room is in? Head over to Bloesem for the photos and description.

Cooooool! Bravo on the elephant! What a totally European-looking kid room! Like the hanging panda, too. (Nice photo staging with the matching grocery bag!)
Love it!
So cute! I love the elephant!

I love pink and red together for a kids room. Kudos to the amazing elephant! Was that a stencil or freehand?
Love it. Inspired to do something to my girl's white dresses. What paint can I use? Any suggestion?

acrylic paint will stay. i would suggest cutting it from fabric and sewing it though. as the acrylic will crack...i think any paint will. i wonder if you could use a dye...there would be some bleeding at the edges...hummm?
LOVE THIS. Holy moly, what a great fix for an older dresser! Hmmm, now what can I paint... *tents hands*
not paint-hate here, that deresser is AWESOME!
