Wheels Reborn. A recent trip to the Conran Shop turned up these pots and tubs from French company, Tad. The shapes are inspired by Middle Eastern leather baskets but are made from recycled tires...

Because these are extremely weather-resistant (though not guaranteed to be 100% water-tight) and durable, the larger sizes would be ideal for storing a range of objects. We immediately think of toys, sports equipment, clean towels and giant bags of dog food. In our own situation the largest tub might make a good laundry hamper.
At Conran, the Pots range from $14 - $38 and the Tubs range from $74 - $135, depending on size.
What would you use these recycled tire tubs for?

They are also sold much more conveniently at Aero, 419 Broome st. Soho.
I am thinking shoes, since I always get a collection of them in my entrance way. That way when I get too many collected in the bin, I take the whole thing into my bedroom and put them away. Some people just can't put things away piece meal
These are all over Morocco. My bathroom mirror is a sunburst style made out of an old tire.:-)
