Australian designers from Buro North Studio created their Green X-Mas Tree by optimizing production, manufacturing, sourcing and shipping for an ecologically-friendly design. The resulting modern tree design has minimal production waste, a flat-packed design and sources locally-sourced plantation pine. Plus, the design is for the long-term and reusable for many years...
The tree is available in three sizes directly from the design studio: Buro North. We are especially fond of the middle-sized tree as we feel it has the best proportions.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Beautiful!! (& very reasonably priced, not taking into account shipping costs from AU...)
As much as I like the design and concept, that's a lot of energy getting it here from the other side of the world! But then again, it's no more energy than the ________ you bought that was made in China.
I think that for small apartment dwellers with a kind of a mod kind of aesthetic, these are not just pretty (which I think they are very, very much) but not hard to store.
Wow, I just love these. So much better than the other options, and I think Curtis is right--easy to store.
cute! I see an blank palette waiting for all sorts of crafty touches... paint it! flock it! glue colored baubles to it! my mind is awhirl with ideas for this...want now...
shockingly... kind of awesome.
why is all of the really great design from abroad? American design seems to be so far behind the rest of the world. What's up with that?
