(Welcome to Gina, one of the finalists in our Editor search for the upcoming Apartment Therapy Green blog. She's writing from Brooklyn, NY. Comment away!)

I love the idea of serving wine in a carafe. What I love even more is when classic traditions like this can be environmentally-friendly. The Italian Carafe + Wine Glass set by Esque designer Justin Parker is not only elegant and functional, but also sustainable. Made from recycled glass stock, these pieces are processed in an electric furnace that is powered by wind energy. A modern take on a traditional craft. Even more, the shifting hues in the glass are reminiscent of a sunset. Who wouldn't drink to that? Available at Branch Home starting at $158. Pitcher and glasses sold separately. -Gina
