Cats are notoriously known for being individual creatures, and when we photograph for House Tours, these finicky felines always add a much welcomed dash of personality to every shot they happen to be in. Whether they are snoozing away, regally perched on a chair, or graciously giving a heart-melting look straight into the camera, these cats and kittens have made the experience of documenting House Tours wonderfully unpredictable and truly delightful this past year. As a small homage to the ever-entertaining cat, we’ve gathered a few of our favorite photos of these fantastic pets (check out the six-toed cats from Ernest Hemingway's house!) from some of our most beloved tours of 2010.

That's my Emma in #9. I couldn't have kept her out of the photo if I'd wanted to. She's too happy in the sunlight! :)
Cashew, your cat is gorgeous!
So funny to see our Isaac staring back at me (#8). He's at home right now terrorizing the Christmas tree.
How lovely cats are. I'll always love them from afar, yet no longer envy their people. I finally made the lemon of being allergic into lemonade this year. The less allergenic whippet pair we got have improved my husband's health by their daily walk. Their cat-like personality and behaviour make them near-ideal house pets for us. Happy 2011!
I love these posts that feature the very best parts of our homes! Every room looks better with a cat.
Cats! :-)
Love these photos! A home just isn't a home until it's got a cat (or dog) inhabiting it. They make every house seem inviting and comfortable.
Cats make a house a home! I love the furry babies!
I always love it when I see pets in the photos. Thanks for the feline roundup!
the furry ones (like in the first pic) is so cute. !
I agree with unabridged--every room looks better with a cat!
the second cat looks exactly like mine!
There was a time I was a dogs-only person -- I truly resented the "cattitude" of neighbor cats ambling through my garden or whatever. Then through a complicated series of events, I became owned by a beautiful Tonkinese and the reest is history. A gardening friend of mine always referred to her "decorator cats" enhancing her spaces, and now I tend to agree.
