Here's another prefab company to add to the list of affordable small-scale builders. Based out of Austin, Texas, Kanga Room makes cabins, guesthouses, and backyard studios in a few styles: modern, country cottage, and bungalow.
A basic exterior package for an 8x8-foot shed starts around $5,900 and you can add on features like a bathroom, kitchenette, and front porch for additional cost. There are three sizes: the shed is the smallest, followed by a mid-sized studio, and a large-ish (minimum 16' x 18') cabin.
The standard foundation for a shed is a floor joist panel on top of 4x4 treated lumber skids, although sheds can also be built on top of concrete slab or pier and beam foundations — often required for structures with plumbing. Floors, walls, and roofs arrive as panelized pieces, and Kanga Room estimates that "a skilled construction crew" would take about 3 days or less to assemble a shed or studio kit.

Love the lights from pictures 8&9. I think they're one of the ones from Lowe's that I mentioned in here.
