Defined Space. We were surprised at the number of booths that did very little to really create their own space within the Javits Center. When an endless parade of captive gawkers is waiting to be wowed, it's smart to take full advantage. One of the best space designs was from Herman Miller (shown above and after the jump). The shape and structural formation, based on Eames House of Cards showcased the company's history, and powerful position in the industry...

While Herman Miller has a great deal of resources to really make a statement, smaller companies like MIO manipulate space in a similar manner with much less. For those that attended the show, what spaces stick?

Didn'y get to ICFF this year, but this topic is one of the main reasons I love to go... seeing how exhibitors treat and define their spaces, regardless of what they are selling.
They both show what you can do with a booth when you're imaginative...it΄s the thing i try to do in my work, as i am designing exhibition stands too!
