Design Enthusiasts. This is a bit weird but we had to share! Check out these iconic chairs as tattoos by Nick Baxter. We stumbled across them via DesignBoom and DesignNotes. Do any ATers have home furnishing-inspired tattoos?...

rad. so rad!
I like my Knoll Pollock chair and all, but this reminds me of the guy who got a tattoo of his Chevy Cavlier on his forearm.

...this is funny..yet extreme.
i love my risom chair. but not that much.
*hmmm i also love my job, but im not sure how my boss would react if i had Knoll tattooed on my forearm*
hahahhaahha
Ick, with the portraits of designers, it looks like a DWR catalog.
Tattoos are the new accessory for showing off your occupation. I'll bet cooks represent one of the biggest spikes in elaborate tattoo shop business. Sizzling bacon, spatulas, knives, pigs, salt and pepper. It's interesting though, permanent impressions of materialist objects. Maybe it's a testament to the permanence of the objects throughout the decades.
My tattoos are not furniture-inspired, but coincidently, I posted the pictures above on my blog this morning.
are these real?
this is so very weird. i can't imagine a design geek drunk and getting a tattoo of robsjohn gibbings on his chest or a little herman miller logo just above the navel.what's next piercings with george nelson drawer pulls.
that cavelier looks like it was crayola markered on his forearm. How horrible.
I can't commit to any paint color for my walls, upholstery for my furniture, or even what decorating style I truly am. How could I ever decide what design element I could commit to on my body. Of course I like change.
Oh my. What an odd little world we live in...
Getting this sort of tattoo wouldn't be my thing, but the quality of them is awesome!
Those are stupid tattoos. Good grief.
wow sisero, that was a very eloquent comment. those tattoos are very good quality. if you don't like the subject matter, then what are you doing here?
debates on design should involve more than "that's stupid".
hey, that's my buddy's arm! the tattoos are great and look less bizarre as a whole sleave
mat! thanks for sharing the tat pic of the guy with the chevy cavalier. LOL but also :-|
i have an exploded eames lounge

i have an uncontrollable urge to type the words eames, knoll, wegner, saarinen, bertoia into ALL search fields every time I'm in front a computer. i swear its by accident. when i go to craigslist or ebay i start to have fits and convulsions when i see chairs for sale that have been posted for more than 5 minutes without me seeing FIRST. I own 137 chairs. do i have a problem? is there a group? oh, here they are, chair freaks unite!
I actually have a folding chair on my right arm. Not an iconic chair, but still a chair!
